Edition Teletanz-Journal

Die Tele-Tanzjournale bildeten für die Jahre 1993-2006 den Schwerpunkt der Tanzfilmproduktion. Seit 1993 erschien das Tele-Tanzjournal in zweijährigem Turnus. Auftraggeber waren der deutschsprachige Kultursender 3sat und das Goethe-Institut.

Die 90-minütigen Produktionen lassen Choreograph*innen sowie Tanz- und Kulturschaffende zu Wort kommen. Sie zeigen die neuesten Trends und Entwicklungen im deutschen Tanz auf und behandeln aktuelle tanzspezifische Themen von jeweils zwei Spielzeiten.

Although dance has firmly established itself within the landscape of theatre, it yet remains its most endangered branch. Exceeding the scope of the preceding journals, this film discusses the situation of dance in Germany within an European context. Eight chapters look at the aesthetic developments of dance.
