With the edition Dance on Tour, the German Dance Film Institut offers varied insights into contemporary dance in Germany.

By a combination of biographical information and extracts of diverse pieces, this edition highlights the work of those choreographers whose progress the institute has been documenting in nationwide travels over the years.

Like the series of the Choreographic Avant-Garde, this compilation was first created in context of Dance on Demand.
